KP's Largest Youth Summit Concludes at University of Malakand

The 5th Edition Of The Metrix Pakistan Youth Summit, Which Is The Largest Youth Summit In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, concluded at The University Of Malakand. The event was held from 9th To 11th Oct 2024. This event was carried out in collaboration with Metrix Pakistan, Directorate Of Youth Affairs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board, and Government Of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to motivate the youth and encourage innovativeness within the different sectors.

More than 10,000 students from all over Pakistan attended the summit, thereby emerging as the most populous congregation of the young brains within the country. More than 50 renowned experts such as speakers from various industries, academicians, and businessmen attended the event and over 20 companies exhibited their products, services, and innovations through their exhibitions.

Humayun Khan, who is the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Prisons, attended the Ceremony and officially opened it. In his address, he highlighted how the government has prioritized the issues of the youth and the promotion of entrepreneurship, declaring that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government will be providing loans without any interest to the youth with business plans through the Directorate of Youth Affairs. He went on to say that every subdivision of Lower Dir will also be organized such summits to reach out more of the youth and aid their ambitions. High aspirations were also nurtured by Humayun Khan as he described the possibilities of the region, transforming itself into a technology centre, projecting plans on the digitization of the Prisons Department via e-governance projects. He also thanks Vice Chancellor of the university of Malakand, and Metrix Pakistan CEO Hassan Nisar for quite a number of reasons in relation to the success of the summit.

The Metrix Pakistan Youth Summit has provided an important focus for the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The fifth edition preserved its tradition of providing those various seminars, roundtable discussions, and proper communication needed to prepare the younger generation for employment in the current labor market. An exhibit on technology, education, and business development was also organized as a part of the event allowing students to meet with specialists and learn about the latest trends in the area.

One of the key highlights of the summit was the Pride of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Awards, which recognized 19 individuals for their exceptional contributions to their respective fields and communities. Awardees included notable figures such as Muhammad Ali Swati (Pakistani Rescuer & Philanthropist), Muhammad Tawseef Khan (Climate Change Activist) , Ammad Ali (Entrepreneur & Philanthropist) , Ayesha Ayaz (Taekwondo Champion), Muhammad Irfan (Social Worker), Qaiser Nawab (Global Youth Leader & Climate Activist), Adil Nawaz Khan (Social Entrepreneur & Community Leader), Adnan Khan (Journalist), Noorena Shams (Squash Player), Raja Ahmed (Technology Strategist & Entrepreneur), Muddassir Shaffique (Telecom and IT Solution Specialist), Sumera Shams (Politician & Social Worker), Hamra Farhan (social activist) , Farishta Noor (Social Activist) , Talat Azam Khan (Mentor Community Leader) , Rafiullah Kaki (Teacher & Trainer) , Waqas Bloodwala (Blood Activist) , Qaisar Akash Khan (Philanthropist), Saira Shams (Social Activist) . These awards celebrated the achievements of young leaders and highlighted the potential of Pakistan’s youth to make meaningful impacts in society.

Hisham Sarwar famous influencer also received the Pride of Nation Award for his genuine services.

The University of Malakand's Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Rashid Ahmed, addressed the attendants and expressed satisfaction with the improving status of the university. He indicated that the University of Malakand has been declared the best university in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by Times Higher Education Rankings thanks to the commitment of its workforce. He appreciated the Directorate of Youth Affairs and Metricts Pakistan for their assistance with the activities and reiterated the university's belief in the need of youth development activities.

The CEO of Metrix Pakistan, Hassan Nisar, mentioned that the summit serves as a tool for the Pakistani youth to achieve and employ themselves with other relevant individuals. He also stated that in the coming years, he envisions growth of the summit so that more youth from every corner of the country to learn and access the tools and networks that are able to guarantee success in the modern economy. In addition, he expressed satisfaction as to the student’s attitude as well as the administration and faculty of the University of Malakand.

The three-day event concluded with a closing ceremony, where certificates were distributed to organizers, participants, and speakers. A VIP dinner was also hosted for the distinguished guests and contributors. The summit proved to be a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on all those who attended and setting the stage for future initiatives focused on youth empowerment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
