Keeping in view the importance of practical education and to ensure quality in research as well as academics, the University of Malakand has established well-equipped and state-of-the-art research labs in teaching departments, to facilitate and equip students / faculty with modern approaches of research. The university has several purpose-built and highly equipped labs for biotechnology, Pharmacy, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science & Information Technology. A herbarium serving as reference centre, seed storage house, library, documentation facility, systematic research and taxonomic laboratory for the students and researchers of Botany department. The Botanical Garden has been provided with lath houses, water supply scheme, and a sprinkle irrigation system.
The University’s Central library contains more than 30,000 reference books and 30 laptops. A “Digital Library” program has also been established at the University of Malakand with the assistance of Higher Education Commission, Govt. of Pakistan to provide access to scientific/research journals and e-books.
